Taste Bud is a collaborative design project for a dietary recipe app.
The focus of the app is to provide a community for those with specific dietary needs and preferences.
The main goal of the app was to supply a space for users to find, create, and store
convenient alternative recipes to their favorite dishes.

The logo of Taste Bud was designed to reflect its dietary aspect and
to showcase a playful nature that would welcome and draw in users.

Initial Process
Initially, we searched other dietary & nutrition apps to understand what strengths and weaknesses Taste Bud could potentially cover for.
We realized most apps do not take dietary needs and preferences as a main concern, so we leaned into that as our app’s strength.
After gathering design inspiration, laying out flow charts, and sketching, we went into designing the UI of the app.
UI Design
Our first UI designs and wireframes were made to see if our concept and goal gets delievered well.
These were then put to user testing and feedback sessions.
User Feedback & UX Design
Post user feedback, there were major redesigns in the UI and function of how the recipe book aspect will show in the app.
Showing dietary needs and preferences at the top in both recommended recipes and adding recipe page was essential.
Focusing on green as primary and orange as an accent color in the UI elevated the overall design.
After finalizing the UI / UX design, the designs were put into mockups for final images.
