Tea-Hive Logo &
Package Design

Topic: Package Design, Branding
Medium: Adobe Illustrator

The Tea-Hive Logo & Package Design project is a work on a fictional tea company’s logo design and a fitting package design for its various products.

The result of the logo design, its application through different colorations and formats, and how the mockups of the overall design appear is quite satisfactory to myself.

Design Process

The process of this project involved dabbling into unfamiliar territory from my comfort zone in design. Food & beverage related graphic design was not something I was familiar back then.

A step by step approach to this project was what allowed me to succeed with this challenge. Initially, I came up with a fictional tea brand (Tea-Hive) that uses locally sourced honey from beekeepers. Then I worked with the theme of honey and beekeeping for the designs.

For coming up with logos, I looked into different categories of logos: wordmarks, emblems, pictorial marks, abstract marks etc. Working under the same name but with different design focuses allowed me to find out which logo fits best with the brand identity.

After choosing the right logo, things went smoothly. Colors, patterns, and even the typeface was easy to be decided on as the theme of the design was already set up. The Hexagonal design of both the logo and the typeface was easily applicable across different tea product package designs as well.

Overall the Tea-Hive design project taught me various crucial aspects and steps of branding in a short period of time. It is a project I still hold dearly.
